Jedi: Fallen Order 2 Release Date
Jedi Fallen Order
EA has a lot of ups and downs when it comes to the Star Wars video game franchise, as Electronic Arts is only one of the few companies that are licensed to publish Star Wars games. While a lot of people were torn when it came to the Battlefront franchise, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was a massive success when it was released back in 2019.
The reason why Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order became as successful as it was can be attributed to how it went back to the Star Wars roots, which is its lore. This game focuses on the narrative behind plenty of the stories that were yet to be explored in the Star Wars universe. As such, it was able to deliver a rich storyline that came complete with great gameplay and a host of interesting characters.
Due to how successful Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was and how the story of Cal Kestis, the game’s protagonist, was yet to be concluded in the first game, it was only right that it deserved a sequel. Late in January of 2022, EA finally confirmed that a sequel game was in the middle of its development stage, as Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 is set to arrive some time in the future.
The announcement that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 got fans of the Star Wars franchise excited for what’s in store for them in the latest addition to the Star Wars video game franchise. But when will Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 be released?
As of this writing, there is nothing confirmed about the release date of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 because the only thing that was confirmed is that the game is indeed confirmed. It is still in the development stage as of this writing, as the next few months should be quite exciting for fans who are expecting the game’s release date.
However, there are speculations that this game will be arriving late in 2022, particularly during Q4 of the year. This coincides with how the first game was released in November of 2019. As such, there is a good chance that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 will also be receiving a November release date.
With nothing confirmed, the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 November 2022 release date is only an optimistic estimation of when the game will be arriving because anything can happen between now and then. It could be possible that the game will be arriving in the middle of 2023, depending on what happens to it during its development.
Still, there are those who are speculating that more announcements regarding the game and a lot of other Star Wars games will be coming on May 4 of this year. In case you didn’t know, May 4 is widely considered Star Wars day all over the world, and announced the release date of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 on that day would be quite fitting. The developers still have more than three months to work on the game so that EA can announce a release date on May 4, 2022.
Jedi: Fallen Order 2 Trailer
Because the game is still in the middle of its development, there is yet to be an official trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2. That’s because trailers are usually taken from the finished parts of the game.
As such, it might take a while before we get to see an official trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2. The release of the official trailer might coincide with the announcement of its release date, which is likely to happen on May 4, 2022, also known as Star Wars day.
In the meantime, here’s the official trailer for the first game, which is Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, so that you can scratch that Star Wars itch while waiting for the trailer of the sequel game, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2.
Jedi: Fallen Order 2 Plot
When Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 was announced, fans were quick to wonder about what the next game would be about, considering that there are still a lot of things left to do for Cal Kestis after the events of the first game. So, what is the plot of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2?
As of now, no plot has been revealed in relation to what the sequel game will be focusing on. But what we do know is that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 is going to be the continuation of the events that happened in the first game. The ending of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order possibly sets us up for more stories in the future.
In case you have forgotten, the focus of the first game was Cal Kestis trying to recover a Holocron that contained the locations of all of the Force-sensitive children throughout the galaxy. The Inquisitors were looking to get their hands on the same Holocron so that they could either kill or pull these children over to the dark side.
At the end of the game, Cal Kestis decided that he was not someone who was up to the task of restoring the Jedi Order. Instead, he destroyed the Holocron and left the Force-sensitive children all over the galaxy up to the will of the Force.
In that regard, the sequel can start off from that decision, as the crew of the Mantis could end up running into other surviving Jedi or even Force-sensitive children. It could also be possible that we will see Cal Kestis’s place in the middle of the Rebellion, as we do know that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order happened just a few years after Order 66 or Revenge of the Sith.
It could be possible that Cal and the rest of the crew of the Mantis would end up meeting some of the other notable names running the Rebellion, especially with how he met Saw Gerrara, a character who has appeared many times in different Star Wars shows and movies. We might end up seeing how Cal affects the canon storyline and understand why he wasn’t with the Rebellion during the events of Episodes IV to XI.
Jedi: Fallen Order 2 Timeline
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order happened five years after the fall of the Jedi Order in Revenge of the Sith. The game happened in the middle of the Inquisition, which involved dark Jedi that formed part of Darth Vader’s group of Inquisitors tasked to find Jedi and Force-sensitive children all over the galaxy.
Meanwhile, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 takes place after the events of the first game. This could be just a few months or even years after Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. But what we do know is that the game might take place before the events of A New Hope and during the gray areas between Revenge of the Sith and the events of the original Star Wars trilogy.
The possibility is that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 is going to connect Cal Kestis to the events of the original trilogy, as we do know that he forms part of the canon. It would be interesting to see how he fits in the grander scheme of things and how he contributes the to Rebellion’s efforts against the Empire.
Jedi: Fallen Order 2 Voice Cast
Considering that none of the main characters died in the first game, it is possible that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 will feature the same voice actors that made the original game so special. This includes:
Cameron Monaghan as Cal Kestis

Debra Wilson as Cere Junda
Elizabeth Grullon as Trilla Suduri
