
‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Star Kimberlin Brown, 63, Launches New Project Away from Soaps originally appeared on Parade.
While her daytime persona is known as one of soap opera’s most terrifying and calculating villains, Kimberlin Brown is hoping to show a different side of herself with the launch of her new YouTube channel.
The fan favorite actress posted on her Instagram a quick trailer for the project with the caption, “Launching my new YouTube channel soon! In edits now highlighting my build in Montana. I’ll be sharing the whole process highlighting American companies that I’ve chosen for my new home.”
Her daytime co-star Sean Kanan showed his support commenting, “This looks awesome.❤️🔥”, while fans echoed their support. One sharing, “This is so incredible!! Thank You for sharing your journey of your new home, and Congratulations!! 🥳🌷🤗❤️” With a second adding, “❤️🙌👏👏 This is fantastic, @kimberlin_brown All of the best to you with your new venture and your new home. ❤️🙏” “Oh so awesome I’m definitely subscribing @kimberlin_brown you are such a ICON ❤️❤️❤️❤️” shared a third.
Brown’s professional career in television began in 1984 when she aired on an episode of Fantasy Island. However, her daytime career didn’t start until 1987 when she joined the hit series Capitol where she played Danny. She then continued her Soap Opera career joining Santa Barbara in 1990, before joining The Young and the Restless later that year as the iconic Shelia Carter. Shelia crossed over to The Bold and the Beautiful in 1992 and Brown has played the part in both soap operas off and on ever since.
In between stints on the two CBS shows, Brown joined Another world in 1999 as Shelly Clark and then played Dr. Rachel Locke on both General Hospital and it’s spin off series Port Charles from 1999-2002. The actress also played the part of Dr. Paige Miller on One Life to Live from 2004-2005, and Judge Cressman on All My Children in 2010.
Brown was nominated twice for a Daytime Emmy for her performance as Shelia Carter. Both times for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. First in 1993 and then again in 2022.
