Shocking Twist Leaves Grey’s Anatomy and Station 19 Fans in Total Meltdown

We can’t wait until the ABC dramas return!

This story contains spoilers from Grey’s Anatomy and Station 19.

Grey’s Anatomy and Station 19 fans, Shondaland has taken us on quite the ride this season. Last week, both ABC dramas came together for a crossover event that left life-changing effects on the Seattle first responders.

During a freak lightning storm, everyone was on call as the weather wreaked havoc. The hospital quickly became a trauma center while the team of firefighters tried — and failed — to save the life of a pilot whose helicopter crashed in the rain. But no one could’ve predicted that one of the emergencies would be putting out a fire at Meredith’s (Ellen Pompeo) home. What’s more, the emergency happened in the midst of her debating on whether to move her family to Boston and pursue a career in Alzheimer’s research.

Sadly, losing all but one memento of her late husband Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey) gave Meredith the courage to send an email and step away. With emotions at an all-time high for both Station 19 and Grey Sloan, viewers are wondering what will happen next. Unfortunately, it’ll be sometime before answers are shared because there will not be any new episodes of Grey’s Anatomy and Station 19 tonight.

When are Grey’s Anatomy season 19 and Station 19 season 6 coming back?

Station 19 and Grey’s Anatomy will return to ABC with new episodes on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. ET, respectively. While there isn’t much information out about the premise for the next episode of Station 19Grey’s Anatomy will prepare to say goodbye to a fan favorite.

The seventh episode of Grey’s Anatomy season 19, “I’ll Follow the Sun,” will see Meredith on her final day as an attending at Grey Sloan. As the promo shows, everyone still working at Grey Sloan will gather together to wish her a proper sendoff … even if she’s embarrassed about being the center of attention.

“This is very thoughtful … and ridiculous,” she sheepishly says to which Owen Hunt (Kevin KcKidd) replies, “For God’s sakes, Grey, will you just let us toast you?”

Please excuse us — we need to start preparing our tissues for the heart-wrenching moment.
