Toya Turner is saying goodbye to the NBC series Chicago P.D. after just one season as Kiana Cook.
The 35-year-old actress joined the show in season 12 and she will not be returning when the show comes back for season 13 in the fall.
Deadline reports that Toya‘s reason for exiting is unknown as of this time, but she has spoken out about the departure.
“I’m grateful for the time I had bringing Kiana to life. Thank you to everyone who welcomed me so warmly,” she said in a statement.
Chicago PD is looking to cast a new female actor in a series regular role “to play an officer on the ATF Task Force with a military background who is described as a ‘loose cannon,’” according to Deadline.
