Shocking: Actor Martin Henderson dies after tragic car accident md20

The release date for Virgin River season 7 has been confirmed, breaking a tradition that the show has held onto for years. Netflix’s long-running drama made its return with a sixth season in December 2024, taking the top spot on streaming charts. The next batch of episodes will deliver more of Mel (Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack (Martin Henderson), but there’s also a major cliffhanger looming.

The adaptation, based on the novels of the same name by Robyn Carr, leaves one character’s fate as a major question mark after skipping 2025. The ending of Virgin River season 7teases the possibility that Charmaine (Lauren Hammersley) could be dead. Charmaine is absent without an explanation, and this leads Jack to check on his ex-girlfriend. He discovers signs that something might have happened to her, though her fate is left ambiguous.

There will be some new additions to Virgin River‘s cast. Sara Canning, who played Aunt Jenna on The Vampire Diaries, joins the adaptation as an ex-cop who was shot while on the job. She now works for the state medical board as an investigator, with her arrival focused on investigating Doc and his practice. Riverdale alum Cody Kearsley likewise will have a crucial role as Clay, a foster teen searching for his sister.

Virgin River has already been renewed for season 8, bringing the Robyn Carr adaptation closer to being one of the longest live-action streaming originals ever. Although it is less likely to dominate headlines like Stranger Things and Wednesday, the Robyn Carr adaptation has cultivated a loyal fanbase that is excited to learn about what happened to Charmaine.
