See Sofia Pernas — and Jensen Ackles — Return to ‘Tracker’ to Help Justin Hartley’s Character Colter
Justin Hartley doesn’t have to wait long before he reunites with wife Sofia Pernas on CBS’ hit series Tracker.
The network released promotional photos from an upcoming episode titled “Bloodlines,” in which Pernas, 35, returns as Billie to help Hartley’s character Colter solve a case.
“Colter and rival Billie Matalon team up to find a missing high school baseball star,” the synopsis for the episode, which airs Sunday, Oct. 27, reads. Photos from the on-screen reunion show Billie and Colter on the road as they search for clues — and in one instance, they’re seen smiling at each other.
Before Colter and Billie reunite, however, his brother Russell (Jensen Ackles) will return to save him from an unknown situation.
When Colter suddenly goes missing while searching for his missing father, Reenie enlists the help of her brother Russell, according to a teaser for the Oct. 20 episode, according to the CBS press website.
Tracker, which premiered in February, centers on a survivalist named Colter who travels the country helping people and law enforcement solve various mysteries. As the series unfolds, viewers will learn more about how Colter’s past shapes his present life as a lone wolf.
The series is based on the novel The Never Game by Jeffery Deaver. Hartley, 47, not only stars in the show but also serves as an executive producer alongside This Is Us producer and director Ken Olin. Hartley’s behind-the-scenes role has allowed him to surprise fans with exciting guest stars — including his wife.
“Oh, she’s the best and she’s so talented,” Hartley told TV Insider in September about reuniting with Pernas for season 2. “She comes in and she just shows up and brings so much more than what’s on the page.”
Hartley said he couldn’t be more grateful to share the screen with Pernas, adding, “It’s such a blessing to have her and then to spend time with her! It’s the best days in the world when I get to work with her.”
Before Tracker returns for more episodes, Hartley teased what fans can expect from her character’s season 2.
“She calls [my character] Colter because she needs his help with something,” he revealed. “And of course, he was like, ‘You need my help, huh?’ Like, ‘Okay, then ask. I’ll help you. You have to ask me.’ That kind of thing.”
Hartley first worked with Pernas on The Young and The Restless in 2015. Years later, they reconnected off-screen and exchanged vows in 2021. Along with Tracker, they collaborated on the short-lived Quantum Leap reboot.
“She’s amazing. I mean, if I had the choice, I would spend every minute with her,” Hartley told Us Weekly in July. “What’s really great is when you meet someone who means so much to you, who you’re so proud to be around and proud of, and a fan of, and to see her work, because she’s such a talented actress. She elevates the scenes, and that really makes my job easier. But yeah, it’s been amazing working with her.”
