See Joan Vassos Dish on ‘Golden Bachelorette’ with Her Family: ‘I’m Not Here to Replace Dad’

A special moment.

As we’re watching Season 21 of “The Bachelorette” unfold, there’s still so much more for Bachelor Nation to look forward to.

It was announced that the very first season of “The Golden Bachelorette,” starring Joan Vassos, will premiere on Wednesday, September 18, at 8 p.m. on ABC.

Now, we just got a look at Joan and her family getting ready to send her off on her Golden journey.

In a new special teaser shared on social media, we get a look at Joan with her family, including her mom, her mother-in-law, her son, her daughter-in-law, her daughter, her grandkids, and more.

In the teaser, Joan’s mom Mary gets excited and says, “I can’t believe you’re the first Golden Bachelorette!”

Then her daughter Ally asked Joan about how she feels about kissing more men on national television.

Joan said, “I’m going to have to get used to it I guess, because I don’t want to be with someone that I don’t like kissing, so I have to try it out. I am probably going to kiss a fair amount of guys on camera. I’m sorry, you guys!”

The Golden Bachelorette then asks her family what questions she should ask her men on Night 1.

Her son Nick says, “What are your top three priorities in life?” and her grandson Boomer chimes in saying, “What’s your favorite dinosaur?!”

How cute!

Joan shares with her family what she is looking for in a partner, saying, “I’m very picky about a man being a gentleman. I want someone who has a big heart, who is generous, and someone who is also humble.”

Her family shares that they just want her to be happy with whoever she meets.

She thanks her family for their support as she goes on this journey and says, “I’m not here to replace Dad. I just want our family to be whole again.”

We can’t wait for Joan’s “Golden Bachelorette” journey to begin in a few short months!
