The military drama SEAL Team will feature a seventh season, which will air next year on Paramount Plus. Production began in early December.

SEAL Team follows the professional and personal lives of elite Navy SEALs as they train, plan and execute high-risk missions. David Boreanaz plays team leader Jason Hayes.

Neil Brown Jr., AJ Buckley, Toni Trucks and Raffi Barsoumian also join the cast.

Produced by CBS Studios, SEAL Team debuted in 2017 and aired for four seasons on CBS, moving to Paramount Plus in 2021. “From four seasons on CBS Network to three seasons on Paramount Plus, SEAL Team has built an incredible legacy honoring and celebrating the brave men and women who serve in the armed forces,” said Jeff Grossman, Executive Vice President, Business Operations and Content, Paramount Streaming. “We would like to thank David Boreanaz and the entire cast and crew for bringing this extraordinary and thought-provoking series to life. We look forward to honoring their work and bringing Team Bravo fans a fantastic final season.”

SEAL Team is produced by CBS Studios.

“When we first heard about SEAL Team nearly seven years ago, I was struck by the producers’ genuine passion for telling authentic stories that honor and celebrate the sacrifices of our veterans and all who have served our country,” said David Stapf, president of CBS Studios. “Since that first meeting, they have not wavered in that mission. The characters, storylines and performances from the cast continue to be both subtle and powerful. Thank you to David, Spencer, Chris, Mark and the entire cast and crew for their collaboration, creative vision and dedication. We look forward to an exciting and fulfilling seventh and final season.”

Spencer Hudnut, Christopher Chulack, David Boreanaz, Sarah Timberman, Carl Beverly and Mark Owen serve as executive producers.

“It has been an honor to tell stories across seven seasons that celebrate the courage and heroism of all who serve our country,” said Hudnut and Chulack. “We are incredibly grateful to our incredibly talented cast, writers, directors, and crew, especially the hundreds of veterans who have worked on this show. We want to thank CBS Studios, Paramount Plus, and CBS for their partnership and support over the years, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to the fans who have joined Bravo Team week after week and season after season. While we look forward to continuing to focus on areas where we can do better for our service members even after season seven concludes, we hope that the SEAL Team community will continue to fight to protect those who protect us.”

Boreanaz said he was “blessed and blessed to be a part of such an incredible cast and crew” during his time on the show.

“Every day is a thank you to the men and women of our military and Special Forces,” he added. “I am thankful for our fans, and I am proud that we were able to make this show to shine a light in the darkness for so many people who are suffering today. I look forward to season seven and the opportunity to end this series with love and gratitude.”
