SEAL Team star AJ Buckley teases the possibility of joining the cast of Fire Country after his show ends in Season 7.

The CBS drama is set to premiere in 2022 and focuses on convicts who participate in a prison firefighting program alongside their elite counterparts.

Max Thieriot stars in the series as Bode Donovan, but he previously starred alongside AJ on SEAL Team.

His character Clay was killed off in Season 6 so the actor could move on to his new show.

Now that SEAL Team is coming to an end, AJ, who plays Sonny Quiin, has opened up about the possibility of following his former co-star Max to Fire Country.

During a recent Reddit Q&A, many fans asked the actor about the idea.

“I just started watching Fire Country a few days ago,” one fan wrote, before asking, “After Seal Team, are you planning on doing more of this show?”

“Are you planning on doing Fire Country after Seal Team is over?” a second online user asked directly.

AJ chose this question to answer, initially simply writing, “Maybe?”

He then jokingly turned his comment to his former co-star, asking, “Max – is there any chance I’ll be on Fire Country?”

“We’ve talked about it and thought it would be fun to have me appear,” AJ continued to admit to fans. “He’s one of my best friends.”

“It would be great to work on something he’s so passionate about. It would be great,” the actor added.

After seeing this response, fans continued to demand that this actually happen.

“Oh, PLEASE join Fire Country,” one viewer wrote. “That would be awesome!”

However, AJ and Max still have some time to sort out this potential cast, as SEAL Team still has one more season left.

The show was canceled late last year when Paramount+ announced it would end with Season 7. New episodes are currently being filmed and are expected to begin airing on the streaming service later this year.

Meanwhile, Season 2 of Fire Country began airing on CBS earlier this month, with new episodes airing on Fridays.
