SEAL Team Season 7: Sonny Leaves Bravo as Star Reveals Clay Fallout Trailer ‘Really Out of His Mind’
Fans of Paramount+’s hit drama, which previously aired on CBS, have been completely engrossed in Jason Hayes (played by David Boreanaz) and his team’s latest struggles throughout SEAL Team’s sixth season. However, the biggest shock of the year has been the sudden departure of Clay Spenser (Max Thieriot), whose death could have dire consequences for the rest of his teammates.

AJ Buckley has shared a disturbing hint that his role as Percival ‘Sonny’ Quinn could be in jeopardy in the next season of SEAL Team
The latest season of Paramount’s hit military drama came to an end last month as the entire team was left reeling by the death of series mainstay Clay.

He struggled to adjust to his new life as an amputee after a brutal ambush in Mali.

A few episodes later, the Navy SEAL was shot and killed by a security guard after stopping Ben (Joey Pollari) from committing suicide.

His death will surely have a major ripple effect on the rest of the series and may even convince some of the team to drop their disguises.

“You know, Max and I became very close over the course of the show,” AJ revealed. “He was one of my best friends.”

Max and his co-stars have clearly formed a strong bond over the past few years working on the series.

Fans are worried that the lead actor may be leaving the series after he signed on to star in another CBS primetime drama, Fire Country.

Their worst fears were confirmed in the eighth episode of season six, and both the cast and fans of SEAL Team struggled with the loss of such an important character.

“Our kids were born a few months apart in that first season,” AJ told TV Line.

“And all of that, so we were so close and it was really a hard thing to hear.

“But I knew it was an opportunity for him to ‘step up’ and [co-create and star in Fire Country].”

“I think it was hard for everyone, but not for me because it was one of the best parts about going to work.”

With one of his closest friends leaving the show, has AJ also begun to reconsider how long he wants to stay on SEAL Team?

The actor also revealed that he’s spoken to showrunner Spencer [Hudnut] about how Clay’s death might impact Sonny’s storyline moving forward.

“I mean, there were some really mixed emotions there – especially at the end – about losing him, in a sense,” he explained.

“And then sitting with Chris [Chulack, director], in the two episodes that he directed, episode nine and episode ten….

“There’s a lot of stuff that happens, moments where things get really intense and I really lose control, but then we have to go back to the fight.

So it’s all about trying to ‘pick the moment’ to strike that balance between what I’m really letting go of.”

Sonny has proven that he’s not the most emotionally stable member of the team after Clay’s death, but can his traumatized reaction convince him to abandon his current mission?
