‘SEAL Team’ Season 7: Everything You Need to Know for Bravo’s Finale
A subset of the Dad TV phenomenon involves thanking men in uniform for their service by highlighting their exploits on TV. The same goes for the SEAL Team series, which stars David Boreanz while promoting the elite force of the United States Navy. The Buffy and Bones star has hosted the show since 2017 on CBS and then Paramount+, where the first six seasons are currently available to stream.

Now, season seven is on viewers’ radar. But before Bravo Team goes all gung ho, let’s talk about the latest news about the final mission.
Is this really the end? David Boreanaz may have had mixed feelings on the subject, posting on Instagram: “Saying ‘goodbye’ is never easy, but saying ‘I’ll see you soon’ is the higher self of enlightenment. #grateful” Filming began in January for the show’s final mission. The end is imminent in the fall of 2023, with the announcement that the next season will conclude the series, and the series has reportedly been postponed by Paramount+ (per TV Line). With that, the show had four successful seasons on CBS before moving to Paramount+ for its fifth and sixth seasons. Expect some emotional closure when the show returns. At the end of season six, Special Warfare Operator First Class Clay Spenser (Max Thieriot) lost his life in perhaps the most tragic way imaginable: while traveling to save one of his own from committing suicide. Additionally, Thieriot confirmed to TV Insider that a flashback scene is out of the question for him: “I would love to go there and do it, but I think they’re getting ready to shoot the rest of the season right now, and I know they’re going to Colombia. So I don’t think, as far as I know, there’s no plans for that, unfortunately, unless they call me at the last minute.”

And at the start of the series, Boreanaz’s Special Operations Commando is also grieving the loss of a fellow soldier, though there’s no word on how much of the story the loss of Spenser will factor into.

Other plot clues for the season have also been kept under wraps, although a new character will be cast by Beau Knapp, who will be “a sign that [Bravo Team] is a problem child in the eyes of the DEVGRU powers that be”. As Drew Franklin, Knapp will give us “a smooth talker who exploits every angle to his advantage”. Exactly what they need.

Boreanaz previously admitted his love for the show when it ended, speaking to the Hollywood Reporter: “For six seasons, I have been so lucky and blessed to be a part of such an incredible cast and crew. Every day is a thank you to our men and women in the military and the Special Forces. I thank our fans and I am proud that we were able to make this show shine a light in the darkness towards so much suffering today.” I look forward to season seven and the opportunity to end this series with love and gratitude.”
The Buffy and Bones star is clearly still in the lead. The series also stars A.J. Buckley, Raffi Barsoumian, Jessica Paré, Neil Brown Jr., and Toni Trucks. Beau Knapp is a new face, and apparently, Max Thieriot will not be returning as Clay.
