SEAL Team Season 7 Episode 6 Ending Explained
After Jason’s shocking departure last hour, Bravo tries to survive without him on SEAL Team season 7, episode 6, and while they encounter a few hiccups, they prove they can do without their commander. The Paramount+ military drama, created by Benjamin Cavell, is in its final season, which means it’s going through a lot of changes. From a new era of warfare to Ray’s impending retirement and Jason’s mental health struggles, the main characters of SEAL Team are really going through it. At least they have their brothers by their side (mostly). SEAL Team season 7, episode 5, ended with Jason abandoning Bravo in Thailand to return home after his son, Mikey, tore his ACL. Jason leaving mid-deployment is quite unusual, and his team is even more confused by his recent decisions and actions. However, Bravo continues without Jason on SEAL Team season 7, episode 6. The SEALs receive a new assignment to capture Jun Yilin, a fentanyl precursor kingpin linked to Sai Lou, a Chinese criminal organization. However, their operation does not go smoothly and the results are not ideal, although Bravo is ultimately successful in capturing Jun.
After Jason leaves, Bravo receives a new assignment to further pursue the Chinese government’s connection to Sai Lou’s drug operation in the sixth episode of SEAL Team season 7. The SEALs’ joint task force with the DEA has had a bit of a roller coaster ride so far, and the bumpy ride continues. Bravo is tasked with capturing Jun Yilin in Cambodia, but they are not allowed to extradite him to Thailand (yet). The United States does not have an extradition treaty with Cambodia, meaning they first need permission to take him across the border.
Bravo (consisting of Omar, Sonny, Drew, Brock, and Trent) goes to Jun’s hotel to watch him and wait for an arrest warrant. Unfortunately, while there, the SEALs notice another team is about to arrest Jun. So Omar gives Bravo the green light to arrest Jun. They succeed in arresting the fentanyl precursor kingpin, but the mysterious group from before has been following Jun and attempts to arrest him from Bravo’s car. However, the team escapes and headquarters directs them to an abandoned safe house where they attempt to wait until they get permission to take Jun to Thailand.
[Bravo’s] mission seems to be fruitless as China files an extradition request when they learn Jun has been taken to Thailand. Since Jun is a Chinese citizen, China takes precedence over the United States and Bravo is ordered to return home.
The good news is that Bravo was eventually ordered to extradite June, but the bad news is that the unknown group found them before they could leave the safe house. Luckily, the SEALs had prepared for this exact scenario and made it out safely with Jun. So, Bravo probably wasn’t too affected by Jason’s departure in SEAL Team season 7. However, their mission seemed to have been for naught since China filed an extradition request when they learned Jun had been taken to Thailand. Since Jun is a Chinese citizen, China took precedence over the United States, and Bravo was ordered to return home.
Before heading to Cambodia in SEAL Team season 7, episode 6, Bravo had to decide who would stay behind to liaise with the DEA and the Thai attorney general’s office. Ray volunteered, leaving Omar in charge of the Cambodia operation. As some may recall, episode 5 featured tension between Ray and Omar. Omar (who was set to take over Ray’s role on Bravo after he retired) felt like Ray was constantly second-guessing his decisions and undermining his ability to lead the team. Now, Ray is freeing Omar up and giving him space to find his footing as a leader.
Omar stumbled a bit when it came to making decisions during SEAL Team Season 7 Episode 6. But with experience and some advice from Drew, Omar was able to bounce back and lead the SEALs out of a difficult situation by the end of the episode. Even though SEAL Team Season 7 had some big changes for Bravo’s future, Omar proved his leadership skills, showing that the team is in good hands, even after the Paramount+ series ended.
While Bravo was taking Jun to Cambodia on SEAL Team Season 7 Episode 6, Jason helped his son, Mikey, recover from ACL reconstruction surgery. Sadly, Jason’s situation at home wasn’t much better than it had been overseas. Mikey was in a lot of pain and he had Percocet to help him manage it. Of course, he couldn’t take more than the recommended dosage because of the high risk of becoming addicted to Percocet. But when David Boreanaz’s Jason returned home after being away for a few hours, he found Mikey unconscious, breathing poorly and vomiting all over his body. After taking him to the hospital, the doctors stabilized Mikey, but because he had stopped breathing in the ambulance, they sedated him forion, irritability, difficulty concentration, and memory issues (like Jason’s TBI). His blood tests show that tranq, a street drug, was in his system. Jason speaks with Mikey’s friend, Doug, who apologetically admits to giving Mikey a painkiller that was given to Doug by a friend when he got hurt wrestling. Mikey later wakes up, and the extent of his injuries is left unknown in SEAL Team season 7, episode 6.
