‘SEAL Team’ Season 7 Episode 5 Preview: How Jason Hayes Could Create Rifts in Bravo Team
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: After being reinstated for a major mission, Bravo Team is finally hoping to make a grand return in ‘SEAL Team’ Season 7. The creative brainchild of Benjamin Cavell, the military drama follows an elite unit of Navy SEALs as they overcome personal challenges while navigating the harsh world of terrorism and military tactics.
As featured in ‘SEAL Team’ Episode 3, Bravo Team is tasked with forming a joint task force with the DEA to investigate Sai Lou, a Chinese drug-trafficking criminal organization. Despite facing a major hiccup, the team wins its first mission thanks to Drew Franklin (Beau Knapp).
In the fourth episode of ‘SEAL Team’, Season 7, tensions remain high as a new mission shakes up Bravo Team’s world.
1) What could Ross Curtis’ true intentions be?
In the latest episode, Bravo Team is introduced to a trusted DEA informant, Ross Curtis, who initially receives skeptical episodes from the team due to their doubts about his true intentions. However, when Ross finally shows up, it becomes clear that he is a valuable asset.
However, the team remains skeptical of his claims. It is possible that Ross could be operating as a double agent working for both the drug traffickers and the DEA. With this new threat looming, Bravo Team must carefully plan their next steps.
2) What is going on with Jason Hayes?
After successfully securing the geotags at Heron Reef, Bravo Team is given a new mission to target Yi Pharacetuelas, in which the team must blow up the factory without leaving any US fingerprints behind. A mission on foreign soil, especially without the support of that country’s government, is exactly what Bravo was looking for, but Jason Hayes (David Boreanaz) balks and asks his teammates to come up with a less risky plan.
Ultimately, the team succeeds in blowing up the factory without losing any workers, but Raymond ‘Ray’ Perry (Neil Brown Jr.) has some doubts about Jason’s true intentions, and by the end of the episode, Ray makes it clear that the plan was changed not to protect the team but to protect someone else, implying Jason’s hesitation. We’ve seen Jason struggling with a TBI, which could explain his hesitation. The upcoming episode will certainly shed more light on this and may also cause a rift between Bravo Team and their leader, Jason.
3) What will be the consequences of Bravo Team’s new mission success?
After being convicted of blowing up the Fentanyl precursor Sai Lou, some initial facts come to light that could make Bravo Team’s future missions more dangerous. It has been determined that the said factory is controlled by a front company owned by Jun Yilin, who has close ties to Mexican cartels.
However, this man also has very close ties to the Chinese government. Now, with this new information, fans can look forward to a series of interesting missions that could escalate to an international level, as it is clear that if the Chinese government finds out about this, war is inevitable.
The fifth episode of ‘SEAL Team,’ titled ‘A Perfect Storm,’ will premiere on Sunday, September 1. Dana Greenblatt & Leanne Koch will write the script for the episode, while the identity of the director has not been revealed.
