SEAL Team Season 7 Episode 4 Ending Explained

SEAL Team Season 7 Episode 4 Ending Explained

Spoiler alert: The following article contains spoilers from SEAL Team Season 7, Episode 4, “Heroes and Villains.”

Bravo Team’s mission to target Sai Lou in Myanmar in SEAL Team Season 7, Episode 4, succeeds in destroying a fentanyl precursor factory.
Jason’s questionable decisions during the mission lead to concerns about his mental state and motives.
Ray accuses Jason of protecting himself instead of the team, causing tension and questioning their motivations.
Jason Hayes and his team remain in Asia in SEAL Team Season 7, Episode 4, and while not much happens in that hour, David Boreanaz’s character continues to deteriorate and the rest of Bravo begins to take notice. Paramount+’s military drama series, created by Benjamin Cavell, is nearly halfway through its final season, and Bravo Team remains in a precarious position. Almost every member is going through personal issues, some more blatant than others. But as SEAL Team season 7 continues, decisions about the future will begin to become clearer. Paramount+ releases new episodes of SEAL Team season 7 on Sundays at 12 a.m. PT. The series finale, “The Last Word,” is scheduled to air on October 6, 2024. As some may recall, Command sent Bravo overseas in SEAL Team season 7, episode 3, to assist the DEA in a joint task force targeting Sai Lou, a Chinese drug-trafficking criminal organization. Despite being nearly compromised on their last mission to gather intelligence on Sai Lou, Bravo made it out alive (thanks in large part to Drew Franklin). Despite narrowly escaping the op in episode 3, Jason’s team gets an even more dangerous and high-risk mission in SEAL Team season 7, episode 4, “Heroes and Criminals.”

Drew and Sonny in SEAL Team season 7 episode 4

The DEA gives Bravo Team another mission targeting Sai Lou in SEAL Team season 7, episode 4 on Paramount+. Jason, Sonny Quinn, Omar Hamza, Brock Reynolds, Drew Franklin, and Trent Sawyer are tasked with gathering intelligence from a Sai Lou fentanyl precursor plant in Myanmar (to connect Beijing to Sai Lou). They then have to blow up the plant to disrupt the criminal organization’s operations. However, Bravo wants to make sure they minimize casualties by ensuring factory workers are not in the building.

The SEAL Team escapes and blows up the factory, protecting innocent citizens and completing their mission in SEAL Team season 7, episode 4. Although the team thinks they have come up with a decent plan to protect most of the citizens while still harming Sai Lou, Jason tells them that it’s not working (as there will still be casualties) and they have to approach the operation from a different angle. So the SEAL Team characters target the vehicle delivering the wages to the factory workers. The idea is that if the workers don’t get paid, they won’t show up for their shifts at the factory and won’t be blown up during Bravo’s mission. Unfortunately, Sai Lou forces the workers to come to work at gunpoint, disrupting the operation. However, Bravo, always quick-thinking, delays the workers from entering the factory by making money rain down on them. While distracted, the rest of the team plants explosives. The SEALs then escape and blow up the plant, protecting innocent civilians and completing their mission in SEAL Team season 7, episode 4. After the traumatic terrorist attack in Sweden in SEAL Team season 7, episode 2, Jason continues to go downhill in episode 4. His traumatic brain injury (TBI) is getting worse and it is clear that he is not okay (and may not be fit to lead Bravo). Unfortunately, Jason does not open up to anyone about his struggles, which not only hurts himself but also his team, as seen in episode 4. Bravo is surprised when Jason ruins their first plan for the operation in Myanmar in SEAL Team season 7, episode 4. They comment that it is not like him, and Drew even claims that Jason is scared. The team comes up with a million reasons why Jason is acting this way (like he is being overprotective). The simple answer, however, comes from Drew — Jason is afraid of himself and what can happen when he’s under pressure.

One of the biggest questions of SEAL Team season 7 concerns Drew and his mysterious past, but sadly, episode 4 doesn’t give viewers much more information about the new character. Sonny and Omar continue to pressure Drew to open up, and he continues to refuse. They even try to force him to go through Bravo’s initiation ceremony, but Jason quickly stops them. As some may recall, Jason is fully aware of what happened to Drew. So it seems Bravo-1 is protecting their new team member, which keeps Sonny and Omar from getting close to Drew.
