SEAL Team Season 7 Episode 3 Ending Explained
SEAL Team season 7 is back with episode 3, and while the hour was mostly filler, some important things came up in the episode, including more suspicion surrounding Bravo’s newest member, Drew Franklin. The Paramount+ military drama, created by Benjamin Cavell, follows David Boreanaz’s Jason Hayes and his Bravo Team, a squad of the US Navy’s elite SEAL unit, the US Navy Special Warfare Development Group. SEAL Team season 7 will consist of 10 episodes and serve as the final Paramount+ premiere as fans prepare to say goodbye to Jason, Ray, Sonny, Lisa, and other characters.

Bravo Team in SEAL Team season 7 episode 3
As some may recall, SEAL Team season 7 episode 2 ended with Jason continuing to struggle with a traumatic brain injury (TBI) after killing a man in self-defense during a terrorist attack in Sweden. However, there’s little progress on that front in the third hour. Elsewhere, the investigation into the attack on General Decker (formerly known as Colonel Decker) is starting to catch up with Sonny Quinn after episode 2. Plus, as mentioned above, more information about Drew is revealed in SEAL Team season 7, episode 3. Still, he’s largely a mystery waiting to be solved.
Bravo gets some good news at the start of SEAL Team season 7, episode 3 — HQ is sending them back into action. Their first mission, however, is a risky one. Jason, Ray, Sonny, Omar, Drew, and the rest of the team team up with the DEA to form a joint task force involving Sai Lou, a Chinese criminal organization that traffics drugs (and is supported by their government). The team is sent to the U.S. consulate in Bangkok, Thailand, where they conduct operations across the Golden Triangle.

Before leaving, however, Lisa Davis expresses concern that Bravo is being set up to fail, which may or may not be true. They continue forward, however, and arrive in Bangkok, where the DEA briefs them on their mission—to gather intelligence on Sai Lou by infiltrating one of the group’s ships anchored near Heron Reef in the South China Sea. However, since they will be in Chinese territory, Bravo must be extremely careful not to get caught (and inadvertently start a war with China).
Bravo completes the mission, proving to Command that they are still capable of being the best team in SEAL Team Season 7, Episode 3, “Ships in the Night.”

The mission is relatively successful, but the SEALs encounter a minor incident when a patrol boat nearly captures Jason, Omar, and Sonny. Luckily, Drew is quick on his feet and drives one of the ship’s vehicles into the water, distracting the patrol boat and allowing everyone to escape safely (and without any major casualties on SEAL Team Season 7 so far). Bravo completes the mission, proving to Command that they’re still capable of being the best team on SEAL Team Season 7, Episode 3, “Ships in the Night.”

After being reprimanded for their actions in Sweden (despite saving hundreds of lives), Command decides to give Bravo another chance on SEAL Team Season 7, Episode 3, by sending them to Asia. Of course, they’re skeptical about their new assignment. However, they’re eager to get back into combat, so they accept (as if they have a choice).

Plus, Captain Walch, played by Dylan Walsh from the cast of SEAL Team Season 7, admits that he wants to see for himself what Bravo can do. Since Captain Walch is new, he wants Jason’s team to prove themselves to him, which is part of the reason he assigned them. Bravo is also the only team available since everyone else has been deployed.
Unsurprisingly, Commander Eric Blackburn informs Drew that Command has assigned him to Bravo full-time, meaning big changes to Bravo Team in SEAL Team Season 7 are coming. Drew counters that he’s “committed” to the Pro Dev intensive route, but Blackburn calls him out for trying to avoid being part of the team. Drew doesn’t have much of a choice that way, so he joins Bravo right away, much to his chagrin. While Sonny and Omar try to get him to open up during that hour, Drew remains a closed book, which could change very soon.
Early in the story in SEAL Team season 7, episode 3, the journalist Drew’s sister warned him about, Chelsea Wallen, approaches him at a coffee shop and tries to ask him about his family. According to her, the Franklins have been “a fixture of American politics and business” since the 1800s. So Chelsea is working on a story exploring the family’s history, which seems to be rife with scandals, including inbreeding, substance abuse, corporate misconduct, and Satanism, and she wants Drew to be her informant.
