SEAL Team Season 7: David Boreanaz Talks the End for Jason Hayes
Actor David Boreanaz made it clear during the promotional tour for SEAL Team, Season 7 that this is the end for him and his character Jason Hayes (even if Paramount+ decides to continue the series).
One reason is that he feels like his character has told all the stories he has to tell; another is that the actor’s body is struggling with the physicality that comes with the role.
However, when SEAL Team wraps up its seventh and final season, how will Jason’s story end?
SEAL Team Season 7 Spoilers: David Boreanaz Lays Out What’s Important Boreanaz recently sat down with TVInsider to talk about what’s important to him as this final season of SEAL Team comes to an end. The actor/executive producer noted that they, “…looked at the character of Jason in a way that was a little bit off-kilter.”
He went on to say that they, “…looked at a season where he was sidelined and he was operating at the behest of everyone else and that didn’t fit his character.”
Boreanaz added, “I didn’t want to put on that uniform and be on the sidelines. And I knew from the very beginning when we were specifically doing that, this wasn’t something I wanted to continue, with a character like this who’s on the sidelines.”
Boreanaz stated that he believes this way of playing out is a testament to the fact that people really wanted to shoot this series and actively thought that this could be the one bullet that would end him (Jason) forever.

Boreanaz seems to be referring to Jason’s death; However, it would be sad to see this character’s story end with a death. However, it would bring a definite end to the show and the end of an era; especially if there is any thought of another season or a possible reboot, as Boreanaz seems “completed”.
There are still plenty of other ways to wrap up a character, so fans will have to stay tuned to find out what happens to Jason Hayes when SEAL Team wraps things up.
