“SEAL Team” is headed to northern Syria in the thrilling trailer for Season 6 of the Paramount+ series, which dropped Friday.
In addition to the trailer showing Clay (Max Thieriot) in dire straits, the streaming service announced that the 10-episode season will premiere on Sept. 18. The military drama follows the professional and personal lives of “the Navy SEALs’ most elite unit as they train, plan, and execute the most dangerous and high-risk missions our country can ask of them. Jason Hayes (Boreanaz) is the respected and stern leader of the Tier One team, whose family life is upended by his existence as a veteran.
His team includes his trusted confidant, Ray Perry (Brown, Jr.), the longest-serving operator with whom Jason shares a deep-rooted acronym; Sonny Quinn (Buckley), a loyal, special forces soldier with a troubled past who still struggles with self-destructive tendencies; Clay Spenser (Thieriot), a young, multilingual second-generation SEAL with unwavering drive and dedication; Omar Hamza (Barsoumian), a senior commander with fifteen years of SEAL experience, the son of Syrian immigrants with a deep understanding of the Middle East. Critical to the team’s success is Lieutenant Lisa Davis (Trucks), a hands-on, hands-on officer who is always in command. Deployed on covert missions around the world at any time and knowing the cost to them and their families, this tight-knit SEAL team demonstrates unwavering patriotism and fearless devotion even in the face of great odds,” according to the streamer’s synopsis.
