[Warning: The following contains major spoilers for SEAL Team Season 7 Episode 7 “Mission Creep.”] With just three episodes left until SEAL Team comes to an end after this week (the finale drops on Paramount+ on October 6), we can’t help but wonder how the show will end. And given the tense and dangerous situations these characters face, there’s a good chance there will be a major death.
“You’ll see where everyone goes. And yes, it’s going to be powerful, but I think our audience will probably walk away wanting more but still satisfied,” Toni Trucks told us ahead of the final season premiere.
But will Bravo be the same? Dead? Looking for the next chapter? Scroll down to see our predictions for how the show will end for Jason (David Boreanaz), Ray (Neil Brown Jr.), Omar (Raffi Barsoumian), Sonny (A.J. Buckley), Davis (Trucks), Brock (Justin Melnick), Trent (Tyler Gray), and Drew (Beau Knapp), then head to the comments to let us know what you think.
Jason (David Boreanaz) Sadly, we can’t help but think the show will end with Jason’s death. There’s the fact that he keeps running into fire, and no matter how hard he tries to find a balance between his surgery and his life at home, it just doesn’t work out. Plus, Boreanaz told us before the final season premiered that his character’s “ultimate ending” could be “on the battlefield.” But hey, maybe things will change and he might even get his happily ever after with Mandy (Jessica Paré). If that happens, it’s hard to imagine him not being involved in the war in some way.
“It’s a heavy thing to deal with that first murder,” Boreanaz previously told us about Jason’s ending. “How does that affect him? How does that start to haunt him? How does he deal with it? Does he go back and redeem himself somehow? And ultimately, if he goes back and redeems himself, does it ultimately kill him?” He also told us that when it comes to returning to be resurrected, Jason “may not be able to do that.”
Ray (Neil Brown Jr.) Ray’s days on Bravo are numbered: He’s retired, with plans to run the Spenser House to help veterans (named after Clay, RIP) with his wife Naima (Parisa Fakhri). On the bright side, this seems like a likely ending for Ray—unless his last trip with Bravo ends tragically for him. But that might just be too painful a note to end the series on, especially after following him and his family for seven seasons. All we know is that with all the buildup to his retirement, we don’t see him changing his mind and continuing to operate.
Omar (Raffi Barsoumian) Omar has gone from a new team member to a trusted member of the team—and is now stepping into the role of Bravo 2, on his own, without Ray’s support after the latter retires. That could be where we see him for the last time, the official second-in-command. But what if Jason is gone too, and Bravo needs a new leader? The series could then end with Omar as the team’s leader.
Sonny (A.J. Buckley) Sonny may be wowing everyone with his kit, but there’s no way he’s the one who’s ready to leave Bravo, and we don’t see the show ending with his death, so something tells us he’ll be staying in the group, maybe even Bravo 2 to Omar’s Bravo 1 if the other becomes leader. As for his complicated relationship with Davis, we can’t help but think that the finale might at least give some hope that these two have a future.
