SEAL Team Final Season Adds Lead Actor to Cast — What Else Is Bravo Up To?
Bravo will have one more problem to deal with when SEAL Team’s seventh — and final — season premieres in 2024. According to affiliate site Deadline, Beau Knapp (The Lost Symbol) has been cast as lead Drew Franklin, a senior officer with a history of being checked out whose assignment to Bravo Team reveals their “problem child status” in the eyes of their superiors.
Remember, Season 6 ended with Bravo’s fate uncertain, with an impressive but possibly damning show of solidarity. Captain Jason Hayes revealed — at his Navy Seal ceremony, no less — his TBI status and his compromised status on recent missions, after which he was called out by his superiors. “You made a terrible mess and left us no choice but to fire you,” Blackburn declared.
But Ray interrupted and revealed that he had been suffering from PTS since the kidnapping, and then everyone else entered the room—Sonny, Brock, Trent, Omar, and two dozen other operators, each recounting what ailed them. Near-constant headaches. Ringing in the ears. Breaker syndrome. Inability to sleep. Blurry vision. Memory loss. You name it.
“Thanks, buddy,” Jason said to Ray beside him. Ray scoffed, “What’s command gonna do, pull all our birds away? Like you taught me, top dog: Always improve your fighting stance.”
SEAL Team is currently filming its farewell season, which is expected to premiere on Paramount+ in 2024. (At the time of the final season announcement, TVLine also heard that the standalone film that was in development for a while had been quietly shelved.) Knapp’s previous TV credits include The Good Lord Bird, L.A.’s Finest, Seven Seconds, and a guest appearance on the Law & Order/SVU/Organized Crime crossover that’s set to air on NBC in the fall of 2022.
