“SEAL Team Fans Finally Receive the Exciting News They’ve Been Waiting For!”

The military drama “SEAL Team” debuted in 2017 with a focus on portraying the service and sacrifice of those who serve in the United States armed forces. The series follows an elite unit of U.S. Navy SEALs called Bravo Team. Starring David Boreanaz’s Jason Hayes, the group also includes Max Thieriot, Toni Trucks, A.J. Buckley, and Neil Brown Jr. — all regulars on the CBS series — as valuable members of Hayes’ team. As the team undertakes dangerous missions around the world on behalf of their country, their personal lives also receive special attention on the show.

After airing on CBS for its first four seasons, “SEAL Team” came to Paramount+ for its fifth and most recent season. The latest season debuted in October 2021, releasing new episodes weekly. On January 23, “SEAL Team” dropped an explosive finale on the streaming service, leaving fans wondering what would happen next for Hayes and the remaining SEALs.

With CBS giving the show a last-minute nod to continue with a 14-episode fifth season, “SEAL Team” fans may have been worried about the series’ future. Paramount+ opted not to leave viewers in the dark for too long, instead rewarding them with the news they wanted to hear this week.

During Paramount+’s presentation at Winter TCA 2022, executives revealed that “SEAL Team” has been renewed for Season 6 (via The Hollywood Reporter). The exciting renewal news was also confirmed on Paramount+’s Twitter account on February 1. According to TVLine, the David Boreanaz-led drama’s sixth season has been given a 10-episode run—a surprising reduction after Season 5’s 14-episode order. However, it’s been made clear that this lower episode count for Season 6 doesn’t mean the series is coming to an end.
