SEAL Team Breaks Into Nielsen’s Streaming Top 10 For First Time With Final Season Premiere
With the premiere of its final two-episode season, SEAL Team finally cracks Nielsen’s streaming originals chart in the United States.
During the week of August 12, the Paramount+ military drama clocked up 309 million minutes watched across its 107 available episodes, good enough to land the No. 9 spot on Nielsen’s originals chart.
Nielsen notes that SEAL Team’s streaming audience skews slightly male, and nearly two-thirds of its viewers are over the age of 50 šš»āāļø Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy remains at the top of the originals chart for the second week in a row, with 1.4 billion minutes watched across its 36 episodes. Next up were Netflix’s American Murder: Laci Peterson (877 million minutes watched over three episodes), Netflix’s Emily in Paris (792 million minutes watched), Netflix’s Love Is Blind: UK (523 million minutes watched), and Netflix’s Love Island (404 million minutes watched across Hulu, Netflix, and Peacock).
Rounding out the Top 10 Originals for the week of August 12 were Prime Video’s The Boys, Hulu’s Futurama, Evil on Paramount+ and Netflix, and Netflix’s SEAL Team and Blue Ribbon Baking Championship.
On Nielsen’s overall streaming charts, Prison Break once again dominated with 1.6 billion minutes watched across Hulu and Netflix, while Fire Country rose three spots to No. 4, with 1.2 billion minutes watched across Paramount+ and Netflix.
