‘S.W.A.T.’ Not forgetting Chris and Street’s kiss

[Warning: The below contains MAJOR spoilers for Season 3, Episode 17 of S.W.A.T., “Hotel L.A.”]

Remember when Chris (Lina Esco) and Street (Alex Russell) kissed? It’s been almost a year, but S.W.A.T. revisited that moment in Wednesday’s episode.

And fans were warned that something was about to happen regarding it when the “Previously On” section showed that and their subsequent conversation. In Season 2, Episode 20, as Chris struggles with Kira and Ty’s request to move in with her – she says yes right after the kiss – she and Street kiss. When she withdrew, she blamed alcohol and admitted her fault.

“You and I, we’re teammates,” she later told him. “I always support your work, but from now on it will end there.”

S.W.A.T.' Hasn't Forgotten About Chris & Street's Kiss

And in Hotel L.A., she reiterates that it was “a drunken moment” and “a bad idea” when Street expressed surprise at her encouragement of his new girlfriend, Molly. “So correct me, are you making amends?” he asks. She says she just wants them to be happy. As for her, she was happy to be home with her aunt and uncle, but she didn’t think it was a good idea for him to ask about her love life.

After SWAT managed to save a joint task force with the LAPD Gang Squad, Street checked in with Chris and wanted to end their previous conversation. “You always want to exaggerate everything,” she complained. “And you don’t say it enough,” he replied, which is why it was “perfectly appropriate.”
So how is she really doing? “I’m finally back in my own skin and figuring out what happens next,” Chris told him. He says he misses her and their conversations because they “recently drifted apart.” He also admits that he didn’t tell Molly about their kiss, but she doesn’t see anything wrong with that. “That was before her,” Chris said. “It’s between us so it doesn’t mean anything.”
