After initially being canceled in May 2023 following six seasons, fan support led to its revival for a seventh and final season, which aired in 2024. However, in March 2025, CBS announced the show’s cancellation for the third time, ending its run after eight seasons.
Lead actor Shemar Moore expressed sadness over the cancellation but remained optimistic about the show’s future. He hinted at the possibility of the series continuing on other platforms, mentioning networks like Netflix. Moore stated, “I know that the door is not completely closed.”
Despite these efforts, as of now, “S.W.A.T.” remains concluded. The final episode is scheduled to air in May 2025, and the show’s future on other platforms has not been confirmed.
