Miguel Ferrer appeared in NCIS: Los Angeles as Assistant Director Owen Granger for seven seasons. The veteran actor was also known for roles in Crossing Jordan and the film RoboCop. After receiving a throat cancer diagnosis in 2012, Ferrer continued working on the show, with the illness written into his character’s story. He died in January 2017 at age 61, and his cousin George Clooney later shared a tribute.
