In 1979, Scotty (Kin Shriner) and Laura (Genie Francis) tied the knot on General Hospital. It hadn’t been an easy path to the altar for the young duo, with obstacles including Bobbie’s dogged efforts to split them up and her stepfather, Rick’s, strong objections to teenaged Laura marrying Scott. They exchanged vows in the park, with the bride telling her groom, “In being your partner for life, I will be fulfilled.” In attendance at the ceremony? Luke Spencer, who Laura would later marry in 1981 after her marriage to Scotty went south. In 1987, the late Anne Heche debuted as Vicky on Another World. Jason slipped a hefty diamond ring on Carly’s finger, which she then showed off to mafioso Vincent Novak (Glenn Taranto).
