The FBI: Most Wanted series finale certainly worked as a great sendoff for each of the characters, but 1 is bound to return to the franchise. The team will continue to work together with Barnes (Roxy Sternberg) as the leader, with Remy (Dylan McDermott) retiring. While the new FBI spinoff, CIA, won’t include any of the members of the Fugitive Task Force, there is hope that one of them could return to the flagship FBI franchise series.
Despite its lack of connections in later years, all three shows in the FBI universe are tied to each other. FBI: International was set in Europe, so crossovers were far more difficult, but the New York office and the Fugitive Task Force have teamed up before because both were headquartered in the Big Apple. Because of this, one character from FBI: Most Wanted can still return after the show ended.
FBI: Most Wanted Finale Is A Great Send-Off For The Fugitive Task Force
The FBI: Most Wanted Season 6 Finale Worked As A Series Ender
When CBS canceled FBI: Most Wanted, there was enough time for the writers to craft an ending. Not a lot of work was needed to change things, either, as the FBI: Most Wanted season 6 finale was always going to see Remy retire. However, as a series-ender, it brought closure to his character, and it allowed for the ending that many of us wanted, such as with Barnes taking over the Fugitive Task Force, creating a satisfying ending to FBI: Most Wanted.

Can Nina Officially Join The Main FBI Show After Most Wanted’s Ending?
Nina Likely Won’t Rejoin The New York Field Office
Of course, there is whether Nina could come back to the New York Field Office full-time. She was part of the team when Maggie (Missy Peregrym) was on medical leave, but then she left as soon as Maggie returned to the team. After initially taking a safer job due to being pregnant, Nina then went on to join the Fugitive Task Force, and it looks like she is happy there in that role.
Nina and Scola have a rule where only one of them can be on a dangerous case at once, because they have a child that they need to return to. If both of their lives are at risk at the same time, they run the risk of leaving their son an orphan, so this means it’s unlikely that Nina would ever come back to the main Dick Wolf universe series. Instead, the way FBI: Most Wanted ended makes it possible to have guest appearances, which also allows us to learn how the Fugitive Task Force is doing.
