Yellowstone Fans Should Stop Hoping For Kevin Costner’s Return as John Dutton After His Fallout With Taylor Sheridan
Kevin Costner might not be coming back.
The conversation around the next season of Yellowstone has taken quite an upsetting theme in the past few months. There have been multiple reports that suggest there is a rift between Kevin Costner and Taylor Sheridan. Be it egos swinging, or a difference of opinion, many sources have suggested that the actor is done with the series.
While fans are seriously upset about the confusion surrounding the entire matter, it is important to note that no one has officially confirmed that Costner will not be coming back for the second part of the fifth season. However, if recent events are to be trusted, fans may not need an official confirmation to know that it is over.
Yellowstone 5B Is In Production
It was recently reported by the official accounts for Yellowstone that season 5B has begun filming. Everything surrounding the plot and how the show is going to end has been kept under wraps. All fans know is that the series will take off from where the first half of season five ended, and the conclusion of the series will give rise to the other spin-off shows.
While this would be enough for any other show, there is another aspect of the series’ production that has fans worried; the cast is also unknown. The filming is set to take place in Montana, and many of the cast members have been posting pictures in the area. Unfortunately, at the same time, Kevin Costner is in a completely different state, working on his own project, Horizon.
Kevin Costner Has His Hands Full
One of the reasons why fans and sources claimed that Kevin Costner was leaving Yellowstone was because the actor had begun working on other projects. His upcoming film series, The Horizon Saga, has been taking up a lot of his time, with the first part of the series being just around the corner. The second film is set to release in August, and the recent update on the third part comes with upsetting news for Yellowstone fans.
Recently, Costner posted a picture of himself on the set of the third Horizon film, revealing that the movie has gone into production. Since he is playing the roles of the protagonist and the director, it would be safe to assume that he has his hands full.
Knowing just how tedious it can be to make films and act in them, it would be unlikely that Costner will be taking breaks between working on the Horizon project and starring as the lead in Yellowstone.
While he could still come back for some scenes, expecting his presence to be the same as in the previous seasons is unlikely.
