Is it about to be age gap summer? Ever since it was announced that Season 10 of Bachelor in Paradise will feature contestants from The Golden Bachelor franchise, fans have been dying to know whether the older and younger contestants will be mingling together on the beach.
There has been widespread chatter online about if it would be enjoyable to watch the Goldens and regular suitors dating each other on the show, and on the April 8 episode of The Betchelor podcast, host Jared Freid got an update straight from confirmed contestant Leslie Fhima.
“I have heard from my good friend Leslie Fhima that we got it wrong,” Freid confirmed. “It will be two separate seasons that they’ll be taping at the same time.” His cohost, Kay Brown, jumped in to add that Season 10 will featured two different casts — one of Golden contestants and one of flagship contestants — “on two different beaches.”
Freid explained, “The show is going to go back and forth between the two beaches. It’s going to fill up a show that probably needed to be filled up, which is actually a good thing. It won’t be the Goldens creepin’ on the youngins’.”
Many viewers were disappointed when the new casting twist was announced, so this will be a relief for those who didn’t want to see dating between the two different age groups.
So far, the only confirmed cast members for Season 10 are Fhima and Gary Levingston from the Golden franchise, and Jonathon Johnson, Hakeem Moulton, and Zoe McGrady from the flagship franchise. Former Golden Bachelor lead Gerry Turner said he would not be partaking in the show, as did Maria Georgas and Rachel Recchia.
Bachelor in Paradise took a break in 2024, so there have been two seasons of The Bachelor and one season of The Bachelorette that aired since the last time the show was on. The Bachelorette is not expected to return in 2025.
