If you don’t own a Hulu subscription and were just waiting for the moment when Grey’s Anatomy would finally become available on Netflix, you will be glad to know that the wait is almost over. This past week, the streamer announced through social media that the newest season of the long-running medical series is coming to the catalog less than a month after the season finale aired on ABC. You will be able to stream the entire season starting on June 14.
The season also featured some notable first-time guest stars. Lena Waithe (Master of None) played a successful doctor who was once a protégé of Dr. Catherine Fox (Debbie Allen) and goes to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital because her wife is in need of an extremely delicate transplant. Sophia Bush (One Tree Hill) debuted on the series as Dr. Cass Beckman, a trauma surgeon from a different hospital who goes to Grey Sloan to help care for patients during a heat wave. Last but not least, Piper Perabo (Yellowstone) guest starred as a patient who gets desperate once she starts to think that her daughter is not getting all the help she needs.
Does Meredith Return in ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 21?
Not only does Meredith return in Season 21, but series star Ellen Pompeo and series showrunner Meg Marinis made it clear that the character will keep coming back for as long as Pompeo wants to keep participating. In this season, Meredith Grey came back and went head-to-head with Dr. Fox, who showed some different colors at the beginning of the season and even pissed off Dr. Bailey (Chandra Wilson).
The bad news for your Grey’s Anatomy binge-watch is that this season is a bit shorter than some of the previous ones. Granted, it’s heftier than the writer’s strike season — which only had ten installments — but this season’s 18 episodes are a bit less than fans are used to.
Netflix debuts Season 21 of Grey’s Anatomy in its catalog on June 14.
