LL Cool J is officially returning to the world of NCIS. The performer will reprise his role as Sam Hanna in an upcoming episode of Season 22, scheduled to air April 21 on CBS.
The news broke when Cool J shared a video from the set on Instagram, celebrating his return to the long-running series.
Sam Hanna first appeared in NCIS before becoming a central character in NCIS: Los Angeles, where he worked alongside G. Callen, played by Chris O’Donnell. After the spinoff ended in 2023, the character continued appearing in other parts of the franchise.
The guest appearance also confirms earlier hints from NCIS star Brian Dietzen, who recently teased that someone from the show’s past would be making a dramatic comeback this season.
