Miguel Ferrer was well known to fans of NCIS: Los Angeles for his role as Assistant Director Owen Granger, appearing on the show for seven seasons. The actor, who also starred in Crossing Jordan and RoboCop, continued working despite being diagnosed with throat cancer in 2012. His illness eventually became part of the storyline as it affected his voice. Ferrer passed away in January 2017 at age 61, with cousin George Clooney sharing a heartfelt remembrance.
