‘NCIS’ Star Wilmer Valderrama Gets Candid About His Future on the Show md14

Wilmer Valderrama isn’t planning to walk away from NCIS anytime soon — but he has definitely imagined how his character might one day exit the series.

Ahead of filming Season 22, the actor appeared at the 2024 Monte-Carlo Television Festival, where an audience member asked how he envisioned Agent Nick Torres being written off. Valderrama didn’t hold back.

“Like Denzel Washington in Training Day — just go out,” he joked, describing a dramatic, heroic sendoff filled with rain, violins, and a storm of bullets. “Not as a bad guy, but defending my family somehow.”

Valderrama joined NCIS in 2016, quickly becoming a fan favorite thanks to Torres’ intense undercover work and emotional backstory. Off screen, the actor has spoken often about the cast’s tight bond.

“We have a blast on set,” he told People. “The darker the case, the funnier the set.”

He also recognizes the honor of being part of a franchise that recently celebrated its 1000th episode. In an Instagram post, he reflected: “What a privilege… and a greater honor to be part of such an iconic legacy.”

For now, Torres isn’t going anywhere — but if Wilmer Valderrama ever does leave NCIS, he clearly knows exactly how he wants to make his exit.
