Former NCIS: Los Angeles favorites are teaming up again — this time for a chilling feature film. Daniela Ruah is set to reunite with Natalia del Riego, who played her daughter on the CBS drama, in the upcoming psychological thriller …And Then She Was Gone.
The film is based on Karen McQuestion’s 2020 novel The Moonlight Child and brings together several NCIS: LA alumni behind the scenes as well. Tawnia McKiernan will direct, while Justin Kohlas penned the screenplay. Both previously worked with Ruah on the long-running procedural.
The story centers on Niki, a 19-year-old former foster child trying to settle into life with her new guardian, Sharon Lemke. When the pair become intrigued by a mysterious girl living next door, their curiosity uncovers a disturbing and haunting truth.
Ruah also serves as an executive producer alongside Kohlas and Riccardo Maddalosso, with Christian Hall producing for Two Independent Eyes. Production is scheduled to begin in fall 2026.
For longtime NCIS: Los Angeles fans, the project offers a compelling reunion — and a much darker turn from the familiar crime-solving world they once knew.
