‘NCIS: LA’ Star Welcomes Baby Girl After Losing Home in LA Wildfires md14

A joyful new chapter has arrived for NCIS: Los Angeles alum Eric Christian Olsen and his wife, actress Sarah Wright Olsen.

The couple welcomed their fourth child, a baby girl named Ocean Rain Olsen, just months after losing their home in the devastating Los Angeles wildfires earlier this year.

Wright introduced their newborn on Instagram with a radiant series of photos featuring the new family of five, writing:

“She’s here!! ✨Ocean Rain Olsen✨ born 6/17 12:37am — 11 pounds 4 ounces. Grateful beyond words for our amazing team that helped us get her here safely during an incredibly complex birth. Cannot wait to share all the details of this day.”

Photos 2 and 3 were captured by close friend Nikki Reed, who stayed with the couple through the night to document Ocean’s arrival.

Ocean joins big siblings Wyatt (11), Esme (8) and Winter (4), completing the Olsen family’s adorable quartet.

Hollywood Sends Love

The announcement drew an outpouring of celebrity congratulations:

  • “Amazing!!! So happy for you ❤️❤️,”Krysten Ritter

  • “Congratulations @swrightolsen @ericcolsen ❤️❤️❤️😍🥰,”Rose McIver

  • “Ommmmgggg,”Riley Keough

  • “Sweet Ocean, I love you so much already ❤️,”Nikki Reed

A New Beginning After Loss

The couple revealed they were expecting baby No. 4 just weeks after the January 2025 wildfires destroyed their home of 13 years.

At the time, Wright shared a heartbreaking message:

“We are together and safe… but we lost our home. Our kids have said, ‘We all took our first steps there.’ It’s so hard to say goodbye… But we are so grateful for the outpouring of love.”

Friends and family—including “Uncle Dave” and “Aunt Dani,” better known to fans as NCIS: LA star Daniela Ruah and her husband David Olsen—stepped in to support them. (Ruah became Sarah’s sister-in-law in 2014 when she married Eric’s older brother and stunt double.)

A Love Story 15 Years Strong

Olsen and Wright, who married in 2012, now celebrate a new beginning filled with hope—and a beautiful new baby girl—after a year marked by upheaval.
