Speaking to TV Insider, Dietzen shared that “someone from NCIS past” would be making a comeback, adding: “It’s going to be fantastic, and I think people are really going to lose their”. It has since been revealed that the person he was talking about is none other than actor and rapper LL Cool J who is reprising his role as Agent Sam Hanna of NCIS LA fame.

When will Agent Sam Hanna return to NCIS? Fans are still going to have to wait a little while before they see the return of NCIS Los Angeles’ Agent Sam Hanna in the flagship show. His return to the franchise has been confirmed for NCIS season 22, episode 18, which is going to drop on Monday, April 21 with no further details of the plot yet revealed.
