NCIS is officially hitting the 500-episode milestone—an achievement only four other live-action series have ever reached. The landmark episode will air March 17, 2026, and the cast is already celebrating in style.
To mark the occasion, the team gathered around an impressive, towering cake shaped like a giant “500,” complete with miniature sugar replicas of each cast member.
“Is it cake?” Brian Dietzen teased, while Gary Cole joked, “Are we all edible? Apparently, we are.” Diona Reasonover added, “Here I am, live and in sugar.”
The long-running drama, now in its 23rd season, continues to surprise even its stars. Sean Murray recently told CinemaBlend that Episode 500 won’t be business as usual: “We’re not resting on our laurels… we’re trying to do something different.”
Fans can also expect family news for McGee and the return of some familiar faces—fueling ongoing speculation that Ellie Bishop and even Mark Harmon could pop back in.
Reflecting on the milestone, Murray said, “To get anything going in TV is hard enough… to create something that continues to resonate is fantastic.”
Wilmer Valderrama shared a sweeter wish for the future: “Hearing my daughter say ‘Daddy’ 500 more times.”
