NBC’s latest schedule update is bad news for Chicago Fire and One Chicago fans.
NBC has updated its schedule for the upcoming weeks, and it looks like Chicago Fire and the One Chicago shows will be on hiatus longer than expected.

NBC's latest schedule update is bad news for Chicago Fire, Med & PD fans

Following the January 18 airings of Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago PD, NBC aired promos for the shows’ upcoming episodes, teasing an upcoming hiatus. In the promos, it was teased that the next batch of new episodes would premiere on Wednesday, February 8; however, a tweet posted to One Chicago’s Twitter account revealed that the shows would return on February 15. The different dates in the promos and on social media caused some confusion among the crew, as it was unclear whether the shows would return on the date announced in the promos or the date teased on Twitter. NBC has been slow to confirm which of the two dates is correct, but the network’s latest schedule update appears to confirm which of the two dates is correct — and it’s not the news fans were hoping for.

When are the next new episodes of Chicago Fire and the One Chicago shows?

While it was initially announced that new episodes of Chicago Fire and the One Chicago series would premiere on Wednesday, February 8, NBC has since confirmed that they will be reruns on February 8. The One Chicago shows will then return with new episodes on Wednesday, February 15, aka the date that One Chicago’s social media accounts initially referenced after the January 18 episodes.

It’s unclear why NBC decided to extend One Chicago’s hiatus by a week, but the good news is that we don’t expect that date to change. One Chicago’s social media accounts have since added messages promoting the shows’ return on February 15, and there’s no indication that the show will be on hiatus after that.
