Nathan Fillion isn’t one to change his look very often… but he just did so for a major career move!
The actor currently stars as John Nolan on The Rookie. While he’ll be back on TV early next year for the show’s season 8, fans can see him in theaters as he stars in the upcoming Superman movie (out in theaters on July 11, 2025). While details about the film are being kept under wraps, he did share who he’s set to play in an Instagram post on June 3.
Posing for the camera in a promotional poster for Superman, Nathan revealed he’ll be portraying Guy Gardner (with the Green Lantern being his character’s alter ego) in the new movie. And if that’s not enough, he cheekily joked about the drastic hair change he underwent as part of the role.
“Keep your eyes on the skies, and your soul in the bowl. 💚,” he jokingly wrote in the caption about him sporting a blond bowl cut. “#Superman – only in theaters July 11.”
While fans were excited to see Nathan take on a different role, they certainly took note of Nathan’s new hairstyle. What’s more, many went to the comments to share how they felt about it.
“I had this haircut for a solid 3 years when I was younger and have never forgiven my mom for it 😂,” one person wrote in the comments. “Perfect bowl cut!!! 💇🍚✂️,” another exclaimed. “Dare I say, the hottest look to date? 🔥,” a different follower added.
Well, this is something we didn’t expect to see from Nathan! But as it turns out, he’s been teasing his movie look for fans as early as February 2025. Amid posting plenty of cheeky videos of him in his full superhero costume in the last few months, it looks like the Superman social team is getting in on the action as well.
