The Sopranos is beloved series that had a loyal fan base before it went off-air, so many were surprised to learn it was connected to the Daredevil franchise
It’s evident that there is a connection between the 2003 Daredevil film and the new Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again.
One of the links is that both productions focus on the Marvel superhero Daredevil. As of late, Marvel fans have realized the two titles are linked to an award-winning early aughts HBO show. On X, formerly Twitter, a Sopranos fan account noted the actor Rober Iler, who portrayed Tony Soprano’s (James Gandolfini) son AJ Soprano in The Sopranos, had a scene in the 2003 Daredevil as Bully #1. However, Michael Gandolfini, the real-life son of the late James Gandolfini, stars in a major role in Daredevil: Born Again.
In the series, Michael portrays the character Daniel Blake, a figure who though not present in the comics is a protégé of villain Wilson Fisk AKA Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio).
