Michael Bradway Among Key Cast Members Leaving ‘Chicago Fire’ in Major Shake-Up

Three key cast members will reportedly be exiting the NBC drama series Chicago Fire for the hit programme’s 14th season.

The most notable exit is Michael Bradway, who played the prominent role as Jack Damon, but his time in Chicago Fire has now come to an end, according to TV Line. Notably, Bradway has secured a role in the Prime Video series Every Summer After, which is set to enter production imminently.

Bradway isn’t the only cast member who will not be returning to Firehouse 51 for the 14th season. Jake Lockett, who plays Sam Carver, and Daniel Kyri, who portrays Darren Ritter, have also joined the exodus. However, Brandon Larracuente will be arriving to the series as a new character.

Last year, during an interview with TV Line, NBC’s president of program planning, Jeff Bader, frankly said of the revolving nature of the cast: “Cast comes in, cast goes out. It’s interesting. Because every year there are cast changes, and every year someone asks the same question about what’s going on within the One Chicago universe. But [those shows] just keep going on.”

However, despite the changes to the cast, the broadcaster has no plans to remove the show or its sister programmes, Chicago Med and Chicago P.D., from the air due to its high ratings.

Bader explained: “We’re thrilled with how the Chicagos do on Wednesday. We have no plans on changing anything on that night.”

There is not currently a specific release date for the 14th season of Chicago Fire, but the longstanding drama is expected to return to NBC later this year.
