Virgin River Season 6 Netflix release date

Virgin River Season 6’s official teaser came out this week and brought with it a streaming date as well. Virgin River will be back on Netflix on December 13. The show had 3 seasons of 10 episodes each, while season 4 and 5 had 12 each. In fact, the last one had a 10 episode run, with 2 episodes coming out later for the Christmas holiday season. Reports suggest Season 6 will also have 10 episodes.

One of the major plot points of Season 6 will be the long-awaited wedding of Jack Sheridan (Henderson) and Mel Monroe (Breckenridge), the couple who’s had their fair share of ups and downs, including the loss of their baby in Season 5. Mel also found out that she and her sister do not share the same biological father and that her mother had a relationship with someone in Virgin River.

She sets out to find him and while he, Everett Reed (Callum Kerr), is initially reluctant to engage with her, he eventually comes around. He is expected to have a more important role in the upcoming season. Everett’s backstory, his connection to Virgin River and Mel’s mother will be explored in Season 6.

Virgin River is based on the novel series by Robyn Carr and follows Mel, a midwife and nurse practitioner, who moves to Virgin River following the death of her husband, in the hope of a fresh start. Mel’s on-off relationship with Jack, a former soldier who runs a local bar, is the central romantic plot of the series. Also a part of the main cast are Annette O’Toole, Tim Matheson, Colin Lawrence, Zibbie Allen, Benjamin Hollingsworth, Jenny Cooper, among others.
