Mayim Bialik Is Ready for More Big Bang—But Jim Parsons Says “Not Yet”

Fans would like to see a reboot of The Big Bang Theory, but what do the sitcom’s stars have to say about it? It turns out that Mayim Bialik and Jim Parsons have a very different opinion.

The Big Bang Theory was a great sitcom that fans around the world loved. The adventures of a pack of brilliant friends who had a knack for physics, but didn’t necessarily do well in male-female relationships, attracted crowds of viewers, who are also eager to see the series’ spin-offs.

However, the main TBBT series still holds a special place in their hearts, and as a result, the topic of a production reboot returns from time to time. Fans would like to see the return of their favorite characters, but is this one even possible?

The two stars of The Big Bang Theory, Mayim Bialik and Jim Parsons, have a very different take on the subject. While the actor who plays Sheldon is determined for now that he’s done with the series, although he doesn’t rule out that he might change his mind in the future, the actress who played Amy Fowler would like to return in The Big Bang Theory.

With all due respect to Jim, I think that there’s a lot of interest and love for these characters and I’d be super happy to get to revisit \[it] in any way. I think we all really have a lot of respect for the brand as it was and for what we were able to create. I was thrilled to get to still work with Jim and do some stuff on Young Sheldon. But for me, I understand the specialness and would love the opportunity to revisit Amy if it ever came up.

Parsons, meanwhile, made clear his reluctance to return to the role of Sheldon anytime soon during an interview on the Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace podcast. However, the actor doesn’t want to close any doors and says he may change his mind in the future. For now, however, he prefers to focus on other things.

As we sit here now, no, but I also \[…] never say never to anything, because life just changes so much.

So it looks like there will be no reunion of the pack of friends from The Big Bang Theory for the time being.
