The first-ever season of The Golden Bachelor debuted last year, and despite all the critics and drama, it was a great success.
Finding love after 60 can be tough, because there aren’t as many available people. And let’s face it, we all get more set in our ways as we age.
However, 24 men over 55 will vie for one Golden Bachelorette’s heart in the season premiere of phase two of the older generation looking for love.
Joan Vassos, the first-ever Golden Bachelorette, was part of the original cast of last season’s premier of The Golden Bachelor. Vassos had to leave the show early in the season due to a family emergency.
There’s exciting news this season for New England, as one of the bachelors on the show is from Peabody, Massachusetts, according to The Golden Bachelorette Facebook page.
“Ken” is Ken O’Brien, a father with adult children. He’s an athlete who runs marathons, plays tennis, and is an avid cyclist, according to the cast description. Ken is a Boston sports fan, of course, and his dream is to throw out the first pitch at a Red Sox game.
Ken likes Ted Lasso and is a Miley Cyrus fan, so what’s not to love? Plus, he’s a property management treasurer.
All of New England will fall for Ken from Peabody on The Golden Bachelorette this fall.
The show begins September 18 on ABC and streaming on Hulu, and while The Golden Bachelorette is a new spin on the series, let’s hope it doesn’t end the way things went for Gerry and Teresa last season.
