One of Lucille Ball’s former homes in Palm Springs has taken on a new life — as a peaceful retreat space and museum tribute, quietly drawing hundreds of I Love Lucy fans each year.
The mid-century modern home, which Lucille briefly owned during her years post-I Love Lucy, was restored in early 2025 by a family of fans who wanted to “preserve the spirit of a woman who meant so much to so many.” Now, the house functions as both a nostalgic landmark and a small wellness retreat for women creatives.
Inside are original photographs, a replica of Lucy’s favorite dressing table, and recorded stories from people who worked with her. There’s even a wall of fan letters from the 1950s to now — proof that Lucille’s impact transcends generations.
“It’s not just about celebrity,” says retreat co-founder Maria Torres. “It’s about resilience. Lucille Ball went through so much, and still brought people joy. That’s what we want this space to represent.”
For many, visiting the home feels like reconnecting with a lost relative — one who made the world a little lighter.
