One character from each show will get together in the new season.
Grey’s Anatomy and Station 19 will see a crossover romance in the upcoming season.
ABC entertainment president Karey Burke confirmed plans to TVLine to have one character from Grey’s Anatomy and one character from Station 19 get together in an attempt to make the universe feel “more blended”.
Burke’s reveal comes after she said back in May that ABC was keen to make crossover events between the two shows a more regular occurrence.
At the time, the ABC boss said that crossovers would happen “every week”, but now she has clarified her original comments.
“I did not intend to say that every week there would be a crossover,” she admitted. “To do a crossover every week would dilute the special nature of them.
“I think it’s going to be three or four peppered throughout the season.”
Burke added: “Both shows will absolutely stand alone. But fans of both shows will get that extra gravy of knowing they are watching crossovers.”
