Sam Hanna isn’t done with the NCIS world just yet. LL Cool J will return as the former Navy SEAL-turned-agent in an upcoming Season 22 episode airing April 21.
The star surprised fans by posting a video from the set on Instagram, announcing that he was back filming scenes for the hit CBS procedural.
Hanna originally debuted in the flagship series before leading the spinoff NCIS: Los Angeles with Chris O’Donnell. Even after the series ended in 2023, the character remained part of the franchise with appearances in NCIS: Hawaiʻi.
His latest return follows teasing from cast member Brian Dietzen, who hinted earlier this year that someone from NCIS history would make a dramatic reappearance. Fans will soon see that promise come true.
