Leslie Reveals Why She Almost Left ‘The Golden Bachelor’ While Filming

Bachelor Nation fans are getting to know Leslie as she looks for love with Gerry on “The Golden Bachelor.”

One of Leslie’s close friends and fellow castmates Joan had to leave while filming due to a family matter with her postpartum daughter at home.

Now, Leslie is opening up to E! about how she almost had to leave for similar reasons.

Leslie told the outlet that shortly after Joan’s departure, she had a similar experience with one of her own children.

She said, “I called my son and he needed me,” but she recalled her son encouraging her to stay regardless.

Leslie shared that he said, “Please stay. You have to stay.”

But if her son asked her to leave, she said she would’ve done the same thing as Joan.

Leslie explained, “With our age comes life, and just because your kids are bigger doesn’t mean they don’t have problems. So we’re a mother first, and if my son had said, ‘I need you now,’ I would have left. Because that’s who I am.”

Leslie ended up getting a one-on-one date with Gerry days later and she told the outlet that her son “gave me the gift of staying and having an amazing date with Gerry, which I think changed our relationship, took it to a different level.”
