Not only is Mann keeping busy on-set, but she’s still dazzling fans via social media. A post at the start of the year proved she’s ageing in reverse.

She also dazzled fans a year ago at the LA premiere of Joy Ride in a blue dress.

Mann is enjoying a nice career, which was really launched into stardom thanks to her Big Bang Theory role as Priya. Despite the success, Mann admits it took quite an adjustment, especially given that she wasn’t used to comedic roles.

“Whenever we’re rehearsing, I’ll try to play it in a more comedic way and (executive producer) Chuck (Lorre) always comes in and says, ‘Play it simply. You’re beautiful when you’re simple.’ I’m constantly told to reel it back in. I think I’m giving them what they need for the show. Every sitcom needs their straight man or straight woman.”

As for her role on the show, Mann made another major reveal, detailing that it was completely different at the start, and only set to be a one-off appearance.

“The character changed completely. Originally, she was engaged, and she was going to get married and Leonard was her last fling. “It was revealed to me after we shot the show that (executive producer) Bill (Prady) wanted to leave the option open for Priya to come back later in the season.”

In the end, Leonard gets back with Penny. Nonetheless, the Priya storyline certainly got fans invested, both good and bad…

Johhny Galecki Had A Blast Working With Aarti Mann, Despite Priya’s Mixed Reaction With Fans

They had chemistry on-screen and behind the scenes, Galecki revealed how he really felt about working with Mann on TBBT. The actor admits she fit perfectly with the rest of us the cast given her work ethic. And from a storyline standpoint, Priya’s involvement made complete sense, according to Johnny Galecki with TV Line.

“It makes sense as far as the characters. She is Leonard’s sort of intellectual equivalent, so they’re able to communicate more effortlessly than Leonard and Penny (Kaley Cuoco), certainly.”

He continued, “I thought it made a whole lotta sense. She did one episode this season, and we just really loved Aarti [Mann], and her work ethic kind of melded with everybody else’s.”

Over on Reddit, fans discussed their thoughts on Priya. As expected, the reaction towards her character was quite mixed.

Fans wrote about Priya on The Big Bang Theory:

  • “I have mixed feelings about her. On the one hand, she was brilliant, beautiful, and her interactions with Sheldon were entertaining. On the other hand, I don’t like how she hid Leonard from her parents and hate how she slept with her ex, was clearly going to keep it a secret, and acted like it wasn’t even a big deal.”
  • “Very intelligent, beautiful, cultured, classy lady. Also a major killjoy and glad she left Leonard was so better off with Penny.”
  • “She’s not well liked by most of us but a) the actress playing her was superb and b) that episode S4 E21 is comedy gold.”
  • “She was not a great a person. She was a hypocrite in the sense that she would skype with her ex boyfriend, but tell Leonard that he cant see his ex (Penny). She did not except him for who he was or what he enjoyed, and she cheated on him with her ex boyfriend (He cheated too, but not to the extent of her). Ultimately the entire point of her story arc was to allow Penny some time to realize she made a mistake letting him go.”
