And she gave a peek into her wedding planning process.
You know how the song goes: first comes love, then marriage comes, and then comes a baby — and while Kristen Stewart and her fiancée Dylan Meyer have one of the three checked off, the actress shares that the other two are on the way. While she didn’t give a timeline on her wedding, she did say that she and Meyer froze their eggs, so there could be a baby in the future. But in true KStew style, she didn’t get sentimental about it. Instead, she called the process “annoying.”
It all went down on the Mar. 27 episodes of Not Skinny But Not Fat with Amanda Hirsch. When the host asked Stewart if she and Meyer had plans for children, Stewart said, “Yeah, probably,” before adding that they’d already started their family planning, just in case.
“We’ve done really annoying things like freezing our eggs and stuff,” Stewart shared. “So, like, if we want to, we can. Keeping that open.”
And about that wedding, Stewart was equally nonchalant about her big day, saying that she and Meyer are so “casual” that they haven’t thought much about it.
“We’re both like really casual people,” she said. “And so we did this sweeping traditional thing where we were like, ‘Marry me.’ ‘You marry me.’ And then we just never, like, planned a wedding because we were like, ‘We kind of did it.’ But we’ll do it. I think we have a very loose plan, which is appropriate for us.”
Stewart didn’t share any specifics on her wedding but did say that nothing will go down until she’s wrapped up her upcoming directorial debut, The Chronology of Water, an adaptation of Lidia Yuknavitch’s 2011 memoir.
“I have to do that before we can get married,” she shared. “Because we have to send invites out and give people time to get ready for that.”
Previously, Stewart openly joked about having her idol Guy Fieri officiate her wedding. The Mayor of Flavortown said he’d be happy to do it, but because Stewart hasn’t nailed down a date or anything, she had to respectfully decline.
“Oh, we have a lot of, like, similar fashion sense and hair,” Kristen explained to Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live back in October 2023. “Also, I think he just seems like a really nice dude, and he marries a lot of queer people.”
She added that Fieri’s team “reached out and were like, ‘You know, we are down for this.'”
“And I was like, ‘Me too, but also I’m bad at planning stuff, so I’ll hit you up soon,'” she finished. “I think we’ll probably just marry each other and then call Guy and say, ‘You were here in spirit, babe.'”
