Key Young Sheldon dynamic could be ruined in Season 7 Episode 4
They might not always like it, but when it comes to the Cooper household, family really is everything. At the same time, someone is usually at odds with someone else in Young Sheldon, whether that’s Mary and George, Georgie and Mandy, or Missy and Sheldon.
So far, Season 7 is proving to have exactly the same issues. Mary and Sheldon’s relationship has been tested while out in Germany, with Missy lying to George’s face about her new boyfriend.
However, Young Sheldon Season 7 Episode 4 could be set to ruin a fan-favorite dynamic judging by recently released promos for the next episode.
Key Young Sheldon dynamic could be ruined in Season 7 Episode 4
New promos for Young Sheldon Season 7 Episode 4 show Meemaw and Sheldon at odds with each other after Meemaw refuses to help Sheldon in his hour of need.
In the clip, Sheldon is seen waking Meemaw up by calling her in the middle of the night. During their phone call, Sheldon complains about having to sleep in the garage now that Georgie, Mandy, and Cece have taken up residence in his bedroom. When he asks to stay over, Meemaw explains that it’s Dale’s house so she’ll have to ask him.
Even though Dale responds by saying that Sheldon is welcome, Meemaw tells Sheldon he says no, prompting them both to go back to sleep. She might love her little Moonpie, but it’s a new approach for Meemaw, who usually will do whatever she can to support her grandson.
This, in line with the fact she lost her house in Season 7 Episode 1, could mark a real turning point for Meemaw in Young Sheldon. Fans of the prequel have been annoyed that her character appears to be so different from June Squibb’s version in The Big Bang Theory, wondering how she could have changed so much.
However, the way Meemaw’s luck is going – not to mention her ever-changing relationship with Sheldon – fans could be about to find out the answer.
“After all the mentions of her throughout TBBT, and Sheldon’s clear love of her, I was so excited when I learned she’d be finally shown on the show. I love June Squibb, this is nothing about her acting. But DAMN. I hated MeeMaw on that show. She was rude, and a straight-up B***H. Seriously the way she treated Amy made me so mad,” one fan complained on Reddit.
“Whereas MeeMaw on YS has her sassy moments but she’s never straight-up mean like her previous version. She’s more funny and shady. Obviously, Annie Potts does a lot of the heavy lifting but even the script is better.”
